Get this from a library. Bloomington-Lowell,bits and pieces: a sesquicentennial project. She is now chairperson of the Lowell Sesquicentennial Committee. They have published the book, Bits and Pieces, Bloomington-Lowell, The proceeds will be used for an historical marker on Old Wire Road.
She is, also, president of Lowell Extension Homemakers Club. The Fowlers live east of Lowell on Appleblossom Lane. The city of Lowell, located in Benton County, was originally a small settlement known as Robinson’s Cross Roads, settled in the s along what was later called Old Wire Road.
The original settlement consisted of about thirty homesteaders. The post office was established inthough it later closed and reopened under the name of Bloomington.
